Postpartum Tales: Healing through Storytelling for NICU Parents
July 29, 2023 @ 9:00AM — 4:00PM Pacific Time (US & Canada)
When it comes to invisible illnesses, like mental health and trauma, too many people suffer in silence. By sharing your personal story and empowering others to share theirs, we are helping to acknowledge that it’s okay to not be okay. We invite you to join us at this upcoming workshop.
Who: Those affected by depression, anxiety, loss or other trauma during the perinatal period and who have experienced having a child in the NICU.
When: July 29th, 9 am to 3 pm PST
Where: Via Zoom
Cost: Free, a $25 Amazon gift card will be given to those who complete the workshop and a feedback survey
Facilitators: Lauren Aboulafia and Sandra Hernandez
In this workshop you will explore your own story through conversation and writing prompts while hearing the stories of others. This group is for those who have experienced having a child in the NICU only. Participants do not need to consider themselves a writer or storyteller to participate in the workshop.
This workshop is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Department of Arts and Culture.
